On the evening of September 23rd, as this year's National Day holiday coincides with the Mid-Autumn Festival, the extended holiday period is expected to bring a surge in travel demand. To meet users' transportation needs, DiDi Global Inc. has launched its "Daily 50% Off" promotion, offering ride-hailing services starting at 50% discount. Meanwhile, to honor drivers' dedication in ensuring transportation services during the holiday period, DiDi will distribute over 400 million yuan in driver rewards.
With the dual festival celebration, the 8-day National Day holiday is set to ignite users' enthusiasm for travel. To make holiday travel more affordable, DiDi has launched exclusive autumn and National Day holiday promotional activities in over 200 cities nationwide. In more than 140 cities, users can participate in the activity by entering "DiDi 50% Off" in the DiDi app's address bar or accessing the "Daily 50% Off" main venue. Users need not collect coupons manually, as certain service categories automatically apply discounts upon booking, with daily rides available at up to 50% off. Limited 50% off coupons are also available, with specific details varying by city activity pages. From September 27 to October 12, users in 94 cities including Jilin, Enshi, Hohhot, and Lhasa can open the DiDi app and enter the "DiDi National Day Fun" main venue to participate in friend-sharing coupon activities for a chance to win 50% off ride coupons.
Given the high travel demand during the dual holiday period, DiDi will distribute over 400 million yuan in driver subsidies to encourage drivers to provide quality services and ensure fair compensation for their efforts during the festive season. The company is launching a "More Orders, Zero Commission" reward activity and will distribute 600,000 free mooncake gift boxes to drivers as festive greetings. Additionally, DiDi will trial holiday driver service fees during peak travel periods, charging passengers an additional 2, 3, or 5 yuan per ride, which will be given directly to drivers to encourage their participation and help alleviate peak-hour ride availability issues.
Since entering September, to help drivers maintain stable income during the off-season, DiDi has continuously conducted ride discount activities to boost order volumes for drivers and launched "Off-Season No-Order Compensation" for drivers. Simultaneously, DiDi is piloting premium service categories such as Select rides and six-seat vehicles, allowing drivers to earn higher income by providing comfortable riding spaces and attentive service experiences, establishing a positive ecosystem incentive system of "good service and experience in exchange for good income."
