DeTai New Energy Group Limited issued a disclosure under Listing Rules 13.51(2)(L) and 13.51B(2) after learning that its chairman and executive director, Mr. Wong Siu Keung Joe, and non-executive director Ms. Chu Yin Yin Georgiana, were involved as board members of China Water Industry Group Limited, which was ordered to be wound up by the High Court of Hong Kong on 15 June 2026.
The winding-up order against China Water—where Ms. Chu is an executive director and Mr. Wong an independent non-executive director—followed a petition filed on 17 November 2025 over an unpaid loan of RMB 216.60 million plus accrued interest advanced to an indirect, non-wholly-owned subsidiary of China Water. The Official Receiver was appointed provisional liquidator on the same date as the order. China Water, incorporated in the Cayman Islands, is listed on the Main Board of the Stock Exchange and operates in sewage treatment, renewable energy, property investment and development, and waste management.
Both Ms. Chu and Mr. Wong have advised DeTai New Energy that they are unaware of any current or potential claims against them arising from the liquidation proceedings. The DeTai board stated it has no additional information beyond what was provided by the two directors and does not expect the China Water winding-up to affect the Group’s business or operations.
Trading in DeTai New Energy’s shares (stock code 00559) has been suspended since 9:00 a.m. on 13 April 2026 and will remain suspended until further notice.
