Insilico Medicine Surges 5% After Unveiling Novel Alzheimer's Targets in Landmark Study

Insilico Medicine (03696) saw its share price climb more than 5% during Tuesday afternoon trading, buoyed by the announcement of a milestone research publication. As of the latest update, the stock was trading up 5.53% at HK$46.16, with turnover reaching HK$304 million.

The company announced that a landmark study has been published in the journal *Alzheimer's & Dementia: The Journal of the Alzheimer's Association*. The research, conducted in collaboration with scientists from the University of Oslo (UiO) and Akershus University Hospital (Ahus), was led by Dr. Sofie Lautrup and Professor Evandro Fei Fang. Using Insilico's proprietary AI-powered biology platform PandaOmics, combined with extensive experimental validation, the team identified novel molecular targets for Alzheimer's disease and other neurodegenerative conditions.

In related news, Insilico's Co-Chief Executive Officer and Chief Scientific Officer, Ren Feng, recently shared insights on the company's pipeline. He noted that there are currently ten drug candidates in clinical development. Among them, the idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) project has entered Phase III clinical trials in China; if successful, it could represent a "DeepSeek moment" for the field of AI-driven drug discovery.
