Data released by the National Bureau of Statistics on October 20 shows that in September, China's industrial production, specifically of crude coal, saw a narrowing decline, while the production of crude oil and natural gas experienced accelerated growth, with stable growth in electricity production.

Crude Coal Production: The decline in industrial crude coal production has narrowed. In September, the output was 410 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 1.8%, which is a narrowing of the decline by 1.4 percentage points compared to August. The daily average production stood at 13.72 million tons. From January to September, the industrial crude coal production reached 3.57 billion tons, a year-on-year increase of 2.0%.

Crude Oil Production: The growth rate of industrial crude oil production picked up. In September, the production was 17.77 million tons, representing a year-on-year increase of 4.1%, accelerating by 1.7 percentage points from August; the daily average production was 592,000 tons. From January to September, crude oil production totaled 162.63 million tons, going up by 1.7% year-on-year.

Natural Gas Production: The growth rate for industrial natural gas production also accelerated. In September, the output reached 21.2 billion cubic meters, marking a year-on-year increase of 9.4%, a gain of 3.5 percentage points compared to August; the daily average production was 710 million cubic meters. From January to September, industrial natural gas production amounted to 194.9 billion cubic meters, reflecting a year-on-year increase of 6.4%.

Stable Growth in Electricity Production: Electricity generation in the industrial sector has exhibited stable growth. In September, the output reached 826.2 billion kilowatt-hours, with a year-on-year increase of 1.5%; the daily average generation was 27.54 billion kilowatt-hours. From January to September, the total electricity generation was 7.2557 trillion kilowatt-hours, up by 1.6% year-on-year.
