Chen Jiaqi, Chief Executive Officer of Hong Kong Investment Corporation Limited (HKIC), stated during her address at the "2026 Global Healthcare Summit" that the firm has already invested in over 200 companies operating in high-growth, high-impact sectors, which notably includes biotechnology and health technology, the primary focus of the summit. Of the capital deployed, roughly 70% has been allocated to companies in their early-stage and growth phases.

Chen Jiaqi highlighted that with the backing of HKIC, the vast majority of portfolio companies based in Hong Kong and Mainland China have either already expanded overseas or are in the process of doing so. Furthermore, 11 of the invested companies have already listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, and more than 30 firms have either submitted or plan to submit their initial public offering (IPO) applications in Hong Kong by 2026. This demonstrates HKIC's comprehensive support for enterprises as they grow, both across different regions and at various stages of the capital markets.

HKIC is tasked with a "dual mission" to invest in Hong Kong's future through two avenues: generating financial returns while simultaneously injecting growth momentum into the city's economy and society. The goal is to achieve commercial success while also delivering positive social benefits.
