Preliminary figures from India's commerce ministry reveal a sharp 31.9% year-on-year jump in the country's air passenger service price index during the April-June period. On a month-on-month basis, the index for air passenger services climbed by 18.2%, according to estimates.
In the same quarter, pension fund management service prices increased 5.2% from a year earlier, while rail passenger service costs rose 3.5%. Securities trading service prices, however, posted a decline of 1.32% during April-June. Telecommunications service prices edged up 0.72% year-on-year, and insurance service costs advanced by 0.98%.
