On 28 November 2025, an announcement disclosed that BlackRock, Inc. conducted multiple derivative transactions in the shares of Dongfeng Motor Group Co. Ltd. on 27 November 2025 pursuant to the Hong Kong Code on Takeovers and Mergers. The transactions involved both the closing out of existing derivative contracts and the entering into of new ones.

According to the report, BlackRock, Inc. closed out a total of 1,042,000 derivative contracts at reference prices ranging from US$9.1350 to US$9.1399. The total amounts paid or received under these contracts varied, and the resultant derivative balance was progressively reduced before settling at 2,882,000. Subsequently, BlackRock, Inc. entered into 436,000 new derivative contracts at reference prices between US$9.1401 and US$9.1650. After these transactions, the resultant derivative balance stood at 4,288,000.

The announcement noted that BlackRock, Inc. qualifies as a Class (6) associate of the Offeree company by virtue of its ordinary shareholdings in Dongfeng Motor Group Co. Ltd. All dealings were conducted for the account of discretionary investment clients.
