On May 25, a video circulated online showing that the BRT Lakeside Jiayuan Station in Yinchuan, Ningxia, had been struck and was temporarily out of service. The footage revealed severe damage to the blue arched BRT shelter, with its internal structure exposed and the outer shell collapsed inward. Debris and scattered objects surrounded the site, and stains were visible on the ground. The red "BRT" signage remained at the top of the structure. The station is located at the intersection of Huanghe East Road and Lingzhi Lane in the Jinfeng District of Yinchuan. Photos shared by local netizens indicated that a vehicle had driven directly into the BRT platform, causing the damage. Online comments speculated, "Did they mistake the platform for a parking lot? Was the driver under the influence?" and "The driver's skill is impressive—they managed to drive straight in without hitting the sides." By the morning of May 26, barriers had been erected around the station. At noon on the same day, contact was made with the customer service of Yinchuan Public Transport Co., Ltd., where staff confirmed that a traffic accident had occurred and repairs were underway. A company representative stated that the incident took place on the evening of May 25, and they are awaiting the traffic police department's determination of responsibility. Information from the Yinchuan Jinfeng District Traffic Police Second Brigade indicated that no injuries resulted from the accident, and specific details are still under investigation.
