Hong Kong Stock Market Flash | China Risun Group (01907) Surges Nearly 4% on Expected First-Half Net Profit Jump of at Least 335%

Shares of China Risun Group (01907) climbed nearly 4% in Thursday's trading session, with the stock up 3.78% at HK$1.92 as of the time of writing, recording a turnover of approximately HK$18.46 million.

On the news front, the company recently issued an announcement indicating that it expects its net profit for the first half of 2026 to increase by no less than 335% year-on-year. According to the statement, the anticipated surge in profitability is primarily driven by a combination of factors, including the widening of price spreads for fine chemical products due to higher selling prices, alongside the successful completion of the acquisition of Binhai Energy.

During the reporting period, the expansion of price spreads in the fine chemicals segment was largely attributed to increased margins in the aromatic hydrocarbon production lines. Specifically, the average selling price of caprolactam rose by 13.3% to approximately RMB 9,701.3 per tonne (compared to RMB 8,563.1 per tonne in the same period last year). Meanwhile, the average purchase price of pure benzene, a key raw material for caprolactam, remained largely flat, thereby widening the price spread for caprolactam. Additionally, other fine chemical products, such as methanol produced from coke oven gas, also maintained high price spreads. The broadening of these spreads stands out as one of the key contributors to the projected net profit growth for the period.
