Shift to paperless distribution • In line with Rule 2.07A of the Hong Kong Listing Rules, which took effect on 31 December 2023, SMART-CORE has adopted electronic dissemination as the default method for all future corporate communications. • Both language versions of subsequent documents will be provided online only, unless shareholders specifically request hard copies.

3. Shareholder options • Investors preferring print can obtain free copies by writing to the Hong Kong share registrar, Computershare Hong Kong Investor Services, or emailing smg@smart-core.com.hk. • Shareholders may update their preferred communication method by returning the enclosed reply form or emailing the registrar. • Holders who wish to receive electronic notifications should supply a functional email address via a personalised QR code or the reply form.

4. Consequences of not providing an email address • Without an active email on file, shareholders will not receive electronic alerts when new documents are posted and must monitor the company and HKEX websites independently. • In such cases, the company will continue to dispatch any actionable corporate communications in printed form.

The board, chaired by Executive Director Mr Tian Weidong, reiterated that requests to receive printed documents will remain valid until the end of each financial year unless revoked or superseded by a new written instruction.
