Japanese equities are likely to see range-bound trading as uncertainty stemming from Middle East conflicts persists.

Nikkei 225 futures on the Singapore Exchange were flat at 68,675 points.

The US dollar was quoted at 161.31 yen, a decline from the 162.25 yen level at the close of Tokyo trading on Thursday, following the release of disappointing US employment data.

Market participants are monitoring any developments in US-Iran peace talks as well as movements in crude oil prices.

The Nikkei 225 index fell 2.5% on Thursday, closing at 68,733.15 points.
