Recently, the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and the Sichuan Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development jointly issued the "New Technologies for Promotion and Application in the Urban-Rural Construction Sector of Sichuan and Chongqing (Third Batch)," with a total of 24 new technologies selected, covering multiple cutting-edge fields such as smart construction, green and low-carbon development, and resilient city construction.

The selection of these new technologies underwent a joint formal review by the housing and urban-rural development departments of both regions, expert evaluation, and public consultation to ensure the selected technologies possess advanced features, practicality, and promotion value. In the area of resilient city construction, the "Hazard Source Monitoring and Disposal Technology for Underground Pipeline Networks" has become a focal point.

Urban underground pipeline networks are the "lifelines" ensuring the normal operation of a city, involving the safety of multiple systems such as water supply, drainage, gas, power, and communications. This technology was co-developed by companies in Chongqing and Chengdu under the Wanjitai Technology Group, the lead editor of the national standard, integrating monitoring and disposal terminals with an intelligent system platform to build a full-chain safety management system of "intelligent perception - data fusion - risk early warning - intelligent disposal."

The technology can conduct high-precision, real-time monitoring of hazardous gases like methane and hydrogen sulfide, supporting 24/7 uninterrupted operation to promptly identify hazards such as excessive levels of toxic, harmful, flammable, or explosive gases within the pipelines. Once gas concentrations exceed safe thresholds, the system automatically initiates an intelligent disposal mechanism, shifting the paradigm from "post-event remediation" to "preventive action," thereby significantly enhancing the safety level of pipeline network operations.

Furthermore, this technology strictly adheres to national and local standards such as the "Technical Requirements for Remote Detection Equipment of Municipal Underground Pipelines" and the "Technical Requirements for Gas Monitoring in Sewers and Septic Tanks," ensuring a high degree of standardization and authority. It is suitable for various confined space and underground pipeline network safety monitoring scenarios and can be promoted in industries such as gas, drainage, and chemicals, providing standardized and intelligent solutions for urban pipeline network safety management.

The housing and urban-rural development departments of both regions stated that the release of these new technologies aims to accelerate the transformation and application of scientific and technological achievements in the urban-rural construction sector, promoting technological iteration and upgrading within the industry. Construction, survey, design, and施工单位 are encouraged to actively select and promote these new technologies based on practical engineering applications.

Industry experts point out that as this batch of new technologies is implemented and promoted in Sichuan, Chongqing, and even nationwide, it will further drive the upgrading of the urban-rural construction industry towards smarter, greener, and more resilient directions. This will help create high-level safe cities characterized by "resilient infrastructure and rapid monitoring response," thereby solidifying the technological support and development foundation for the construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle.
