China Starch Buys Back 2.46 Million Shares, Lifts Treasury Stock to 29.86 Million

Bulletin Express
09/03

China Starch Holdings Limited executed an on-market share repurchase of 2.46 million ordinary shares on 3 September 2026. The shares were bought at prices ranging from HKD 0.162 to HKD 0.164, for a volume-weighted average cost of HKD 0.1637 per share and a total consideration of HKD 0.40 million.

The transaction reduced China Starch’s outstanding share count (excluding treasury shares) by 0.0425 % to 5.78 billion, while lifting treasury shares to 29.86 million. The company’s total issued share capital remains unchanged at 5.81 billion shares, as the repurchased stock will be held in treasury rather than cancelled.

The buyback was conducted under the general mandate approved by shareholders on 12 May 2026, which authorises repurchases of up to 596.45 million shares. Cumulative purchases under this mandate have now reached 159.96 million shares, equivalent to 2.68 % of the share base outstanding on the mandate date.

In line with Hong Kong Stock Exchange rules, China Starch is subject to a 30-day moratorium—until 3 October 2026—on issuing new shares or selling treasury shares following this repurchase.
