During its 2026 interim results conference held today, Bank Of Qingdao Co.,Ltd. addressed its future capital management plans. Chairman Jing Zailun stated that the bank takes a forward-looking approach, having formulated a comprehensive capital plan that accounts for business development, projected capital requirements, regulatory standards, capital accessibility, and stress testing outcomes, all aimed at ensuring sustained compliance with supervisory mandates.

The bank reported net profit attributable to shareholders of 3.619 billion yuan for the first half of 2026, up 554 million yuan year-on-year. This 18.08% growth has strengthened the foundation for organic capital generation. Additionally, in July and August 2026, the bank successfully issued 4 billion yuan in perpetual bonds and 2 billion yuan in subordinated bonds, further bolstering its capital base.

Looking ahead, Jing emphasized that the bank will select appropriate capital instruments for external replenishment, guided by business expansion needs and with due consideration for shareholder interests, prevailing market conditions, and regulatory allowances. Concurrently, the bank aims to solidify its operational base by refining business and revenue structures across scale, quality, and efficiency metrics. The strategy includes promoting low-capital-consumption, high-return business ventures, optimizing expenditure, enhancing asset quality, and progressively strengthening internal capital generation capacity.
