Antengene executives purchase HK$3.85 million in shares; founder’s stake climbs to 27.16%

Antengene Corporation Limited announced that three senior executives increased their shareholdings on 23–24 March 2026, investing a combined HK$3.85 million in open-market transactions.

Founder, Chairman and CEO Dr. Jay Mei bought 200,000 shares through a controlled entity at an average price of approximately US$0.512 (about HK$3.99) per share, lifting his direct and deemed interest to 184.47 million shares, or 27.16 % of the company’s issued share capital (excluding 202,500 treasury shares).

Chief Financial Officer Donald Andrew Lung acquired 502,500 shares at an average HK$4.006 per share, taking his holding to 4.48 million shares, equivalent to 0.66 % of the total issued shares.

Corporate Vice President and Board Secretary Yang Cao purchased additional shares for a total consideration of HK$1.04 million; the exact share count was not disclosed.

Management stated that the purchases reflect confidence in Antengene’s R&D capabilities, product pipeline and long-term growth prospects, and indicated the possibility of further increases in their holdings subject to regulatory compliance.

Following these transactions, the company confirmed that it continues to meet the Hong Kong Listing Rules’ public-float requirement, and that the trades were executed in accordance with the Securities and Futures Ordinance and the Model Code for Securities Transactions by Directors of Listed Issuers.
