The 2026 World Robot Conference and the second World Humanoid Robot Games recently concluded in Beijing, showcasing rapid progress in the industry. While humanoid robots remain in the early stages of commercialization, the pace of development is exceptionally swift, driven by a model of national coordination, central enterprise leadership, and collaborative industry chain advancement. This structure is expected to accelerate both real-world scenario deployment and the progression of intelligent capabilities.

Investment attention should be directed toward domestic embodied intelligence platforms, competitively positioned component suppliers, and equipment enablers within the sector. The WRC 2026 event, held from August 19-23 under the theme "Human-Machine Symbiosis, Supply-Demand Integration," featured 373 exhibitors, over 3,000 products, and 311 new releases. The "2026 Humanoid Robot Industry Development Report" published during the event revealed that domestic humanoid robot shipments exceeded 40,000 units in the first half of 2026, accounting for 97% of global volume.

The report identifies three key trends. First, technological innovation in humanoid robots has entered a phase of "clustered emergence," with whole-unit products rapidly upgrading toward high-end and intelligent specifications. Environmental perception, planning and decision-making, and motion control capabilities are strengthening, while adaptability and stability in complex settings have markedly improved. Second, industry applications are moving beyond laboratories into a "full-scale rollout" phase, transitioning from small-batch trials to routine deployment and large-scale implementation. Third, an industrial ecosystem is forming around a "four-in-one" framework encompassing standards development, talent cultivation, international collaboration, and innovation infrastructure construction.

The Central Enterprise Robot Innovation Consortium was established, unveiling ten major innovation achievements and ten high-value real-world scenarios for central enterprise robotics. These enterprises have progressed from isolated breakthroughs to systematic advancement, achieving large-scale deployment in high-risk specialized environments such as power grids, mining, and deep-sea operations. Leveraging complete industry chains and extensive real-world operational conditions, they now serve as the core pillar for the nation's robot industrialization efforts. The consortium's formation marks a shift from individual enterprise efforts to a new phase of national coordination and full-chain collaboration.

The second Humanoid Robot Games, held from August 22-26 at the National Speed Skating Oval, expanded significantly in scale. The event comprised nine competition categories, 51 events, and 1,301 matches, attracting 666 teams from 16 countries with 2,056 robots participating. This represented a notable increase in both scale and participation compared to the inaugural edition. New high-intensity events such as long jump, weightlifting, tug-of-war, and table tennis were introduced, alongside 21 scenario-based competitions covering nine real-world settings including households, hotels, industrial sites, and emergency rescue operations.

Notably, robots transitioned from solo to paired or even four-person team competitions, and several events eliminated manual remote control, substantially increasing the proportion of fully autonomous decision-making. Recommended domestic embodied intelligence platform stocks include 宇树科技, 上纬新材, 锋龙股份, 胜通能源, 优必选, 越疆, 卧安机器人, and 东杰智能.

Key risks include slower-than-expected progress in scenario development and deployment, underperformance in critical technological elements such as models and data, and delays in hardware cost reduction initiatives.
