COSCO SHIPPING Energy Transportation Co., Ltd. (COSCO SHIP ENGY) reported that shareholders approved all agenda items at the Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) on 20 July 2026 in Shanghai.

Key outcomes

1. Appointment of executive director • Shareholders elected Mr. Wang Mingfeng as an executive director. His term begins immediately and lasts until the current board’s mandate ends. • The resolution secured 3.07 billion votes in favour, equal to 99.64% of votes cast, with 0.24% against and 0.13% abstaining.

2. Charter performance guarantee • The meeting authorised the company to provide a charter performance guarantee for the single-purpose vessel company involved in the QatarEnergy Phase II Project. • The motion received 3.07 billion votes in favour (99.84%), 0.03% against and 0.13% abstaining.

Concurrent with his board appointment, Mr. Wang Mingfeng has joined the Strategy Committee, whose membership now comprises: Ren Yongqiang (chairman), Wang Mingfeng, Wang Shuqing, Zhou Chongyi, Ma Yuanru, Chen Gang and Cheng Yan.

Governance context

Following the EGM, the board consists of two executive directors (Ren Yongqiang and Wang Mingfeng), four non-executive directors and three independent non-executive directors, maintaining the company’s compliance with Hong Kong listing requirements.
