From January to July, the turnover from China's foreign contracted engineering projects reached 701.28 billion yuan, marking a 7.4% increase year-on-year.

According to data released by the Ministry of Commerce on August 25, the newly signed contract value during this period amounted to 1,008.76 billion yuan, reflecting a 6% decline.

In US dollar terms, the turnover hit 101.97 billion dollars, up 12.1%, while new contracts were valued at 146.68 billion dollars, down 1.9% compared to the same period last year.

The figures underscore steady growth in overseas infrastructure and construction activity despite a slight dip in new agreements, signaling cautious global market conditions for Chinese contractors.
