Pet and garden consumer goods company Central Garden & Pet Company has announced it will release its financial results for the third fiscal quarter, ending June 27, 2026, after the U.S. stock market closes on August 5, 2026.
The company will host a conference call at 4:30 p.m. Eastern Time on the same day, led by the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer, to discuss the results and provide updates on business progress.
In its previously released second fiscal quarter report, the company posted net sales of $906 million, an 8.7% year-over-year increase. Net income reached $79 million, with diluted earnings per share of $1.28, significantly higher than the $0.98 reported in the same period last year.
The pet segment generated net sales of $477 million, a 5% year-over-year increase, while operating profit rose 28% to $78 million. The garden segment delivered net sales of $429 million, a 13% increase, with operating profit of $66 million.
Based on strong first-half performance, the company has reaffirmed its full-year fiscal 2026 non-GAAP diluted earnings per share guidance of $2.70 or higher. Analysts project third-quarter earnings per share of approximately $1.51, slightly below the $1.56 recorded in the same period last year.
The company previously announced a pet distribution partnership with Phillips, which is expected to have a low double-digit percentage impact on second-half revenue but a minimal effect on earnings per share.
Shares of the company have gained approximately 34.5% year-to-date, with a 52-week trading range of $28.77 to $45.78. Analysts assign a "Moderate Buy" rating to Central Garden & Pet stock, with an average price target of $47.50, representing roughly 10% upside from the current share price.
