Shanshan Brand Management Co., Ltd. (HKEX: 01749, “Shanshan Brand”) has named current non-executive director Mao Weiyong as the company’s employee representative director, inaugurating the post created after shareholders approved the abolition of the supervisory committee on 8 June 2026.
The election was completed at the employee representatives’ meeting held the same day, in line with the amended Articles of Association that mandate one employee director on the board. Mao’s term runs from 8 June 2026 to 8 June 2028, matching the remainder of the fourth board session.
Remuneration and contract • Mao has signed a service contract covering his new board role but will draw no additional director’s fees. • Compensation will continue to be based solely on his existing positions within the group, as detailed in future annual reports.
Profile of the appointee • Age: 41. • Joined the Shanshan group in 2004; currently general manager of the new retail division at wholly owned subsidiary Shanshan E-Commerce. • Career highlights include leadership roles in Shanshan’s e-commerce unit (2013-2019) and general manager of Ningbo Nuanwo Pet Products (2019-2020). • Educational background: diploma in clothing design and craftsmanship (Zhejiang Institution of Economics and Trade, 2004) and a logistics management diploma (Ningbo University, 2010). • Holds no shares in Shanshan Brand, has no relationships with major shareholders or directors, and has not held other listed company directorships in the past three years.
Board composition Following Mao’s appointment, Shanshan Brand’s nine-member board comprises four executive directors (Luo Yefei, Cao Yang, Yan Jingfen, Zhou Yumei), two non-executive directors (Mao Weiyong, Wang Mingming) and three independent non-executive directors (Chow Ching Ning, Wang Yashan, Wu Xuekai).
