Office space demand has shown signs of improvement. The financial sector, in particular, performed strongly, driven by robust IPO activity and resilient wealth management operations. As other financial centers grapple with ongoing geopolitical uncertainties, Hong Kong's appeal as a safe haven has strengthened, adding momentum to the leasing market. The pace of recovery remains uneven, with prime locations experiencing better absorption rates, while non-core areas continue to see elevated vacancy levels.

The group's office portfolio, benefiting from prime locations and efficient management, saw its occupancy rate rise to 93% by the end of the period. Offices in Central and Tsim Sha Tsui recorded notable gains. Amid fluctuating interest rates and external challenges, the company has maintained a cautious approach to debt management. Net debt decreased to HK$29.2 billion, while the debt-to-equity ratio fell to 15.9%, both reaching historic lows. Borrowing costs were also reduced by 26%. As a result, underlying net profit for the period increased by 6%.
