Pre-Launch Controversy Surrounds Xiaomi's New Car Model, Company Labels It as Malicious Rumors

Recent reports have surfaced regarding Xiaomi's newly announced automotive product line, the SkyNomad. These reports, emerging across various social media platforms, contain search terms linked to incidents such as "accidents," "fires," and "owner rights disputes," despite the vehicle not yet being available on the market.

According to industry analysis, the sudden and high-frequency appearance of such search terms for an unreleased product suggests potential manipulation of search algorithms. This phenomenon, often termed "AI poisoning," can occur through two primary methods: either through coordinated, high-volume searches for fabricated terms, or through the mass posting and subsequent deletion of content containing these keywords, which contaminates platform recommendation systems.

Xiaomi personnel have addressed the situation, stating the company is actively engaging with multiple platforms to report and address this suspected algorithmic manipulation. A company representative described the negative search associations as baseless slander, expressing frustration over the impact on their operations. "These are pure rumors and defamation, which is utterly baffling," the representative stated. "The vehicle hasn't even been officially launched, so how could there possibly be accidents? The appearance of these negative tags like crashes and incidents in search suggestions has been a significant disruption."

The company representative further indicated that they are systematically gathering evidence related to these occurrences and are filing complaints and communicating with the respective platforms to seek resolution.
