According to a statement from South Korea's Ministry of Science and ICT, the country has chosen a consortium headed by Naver Cloud to develop large-scale AI foundation models specializing in the field of cybersecurity.
The government plans to supply the consortium with 256 Nvidia B200 GPUs starting in September, with the usage period set for 10 months.
South Korea intends to sign an agreement with the consortium this month and initiate research and development work on cybersecurity-focused models.
The selection evaluation considered multiple dimensions, including technical capabilities, development experience and project planning, project feasibility, market potential, and anticipated impact.
