WAI CHI HOLD buys back 2.00 million shares, treasury stock climbs to 2.76 million

Wai Chi Holdings Company Limited (WAI CHI HOLD) disclosed a share repurchase executed on 25 June 2026 under its existing mandate.

The company repurchased 2.00 million ordinary shares on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange at prices ranging between HKD 0.85 and HKD 0.88, translating to a volume-weighted average price of HKD 0.87935. The transaction cost HKD 1.76 million and represented 0.91% of Wai Chi Holdings’ 218.97 million issued shares (excluding treasury shares) outstanding before the buy-back.

Post-transaction, issued shares (excluding treasury) decreased to 216.97 million, while treasury shares expanded from 0.76 million to 2.76 million. The total share count remained unchanged at 219.73 million, as the repurchased shares were retained as treasury stock and not cancelled.

The buy-back forms part of the repurchase mandate approved on 27 May 2026, which authorises the company to repurchase up to 21.97 million shares. Cumulative repurchases under this mandate now stand at 2.76 million shares, utilising 12.54% of the authorised limit.

In accordance with Hong Kong listing rules, Wai Chi Holdings is subject to a moratorium on issuing new shares or disposing of treasury shares until 25 July 2026. The company confirmed that the repurchase complied with the Main Board Listing Rules and that no material changes have occurred to the previously filed explanatory statement.
