Fars News Agency reported Supreme Leader’s military adviser Safavi warned that if the US or Israel again attacks Iran’s national centers or interests, the conflict could expand beyond the Persian Gulf and Strait of Hormuz to the Red Sea, the Bab al‑Mandeb and ultimately the Indian Ocean.

Brent oil futures jumped 2.15% to $100.23 a barrel while WTI oil futures rose 1.83% to $93.85 a barrel on the news.
