Shanghai Asset Management Association Holds General Meeting, Elects Zhang Jianying and Li Feng as Vice Presidents

On January 20, 2026, the Shanghai Asset Management Association (the "Association") convened its fourth general meeting of the first session (the "General Meeting"), followed by the eleventh council meeting of the first session (the "Council Meeting").

A total of 172 members and representatives from member units of the Association attended the General Meeting. Key attendees included Association President Jia Biao, who is also the Party Committee Secretary and Chairman of China Insurance Investment; Honorary President Li Wen, the Honorary Chairman of China Universal Fund; Secretary-General Han Kang; Supervisor Pan Lihua, a Party Committee Member and Senior Partner of Lixin Accounting; Vice President Huang De, a Party Committee Member and Vice President of Bank of China Shanghai Headquarters; and Vice President Xu Jun, the Party Committee Secretary and Chairman of the Shanghai Equity Exchange. The meeting was presided over by Vice President (Legal Representative) Wang Jun, who is also the General Manager of Yicai.

In accordance with the Association's charter, the General Meeting reviewed and approved several reports. These included the Council Work Report delivered by President Jia Biao, the Supervisory Board Work Report presented by Supervisor Pan Lihua, and the Financial Report from the Secretariat. Secretary-General Han Kang provided an explanation regarding the revisions to the "Shanghai Asset Management Association Charter." The General Meeting voted to approve 12 proposals, including the "Shanghai Asset Management Association Charter (Revised Edition)."

The Council Meeting approved the election of two new Vice Presidents for the Association: Zhang Jianying, Deputy General Manager of Ping An Asset Management, and Li Feng, Vice President of Standard Chartered China, who also serves as General Manager of Wealth Management & Retail Banking and Head of the Global Chinese Clients Group. Following these appointments, the full roster of Association Vice Presidents now includes: Huang De (Bank of China Shanghai Headquarters), Guo Lipu (Bocom Wealth Management), Chen Bing (Shanghai Trust), Tao Geng (GTJA-Allianz Asset Management), Zhu Min (Shanghai S&T Venture Capital Group), Fan Hua (BlackRock Fund Management), Xu Jun (Shanghai Equity Exchange), Yu Yeming (CPIC Asset Management), Zhang Yiming (CICC), Wang Qionghui (J.P. Morgan Fund), Lin Zhisong (Fullgoal Fund), He Weihai (SPDB Wealth Management), Wang Jun (Yicai), Zhang Jianying (Ping An Asset Management), and Li Feng (Standard Chartered China).

The General Meeting also elected new Council members for the Association. The newly elected members are Shang Peng, Party Committee Secretary and General Manager of ICBC-AXA Asset Management; Chen Min, Executive Deputy General Manager of Huatai Asset Management; Xu Jiandong, Deputy Party Committee Secretary, Director, and General Manager of Zhongtai Securities Asset Management; and Qian Hui, Deputy Party Committee Secretary, Director, and General Manager of Caitong Securities Asset Management.

The revised Association charter introduces a new category of individual membership. This change aims to admit influential senior executives and experts as individual members, allowing them to combine their strengths with those of institutional members to enhance the Association's influence both domestically and internationally.

During the meeting, President Jia Biao, on behalf of the Shanghai Asset Management Association, announced the "Top Ten Events for the Construction of Shanghai as a Global Asset Management Center in 2025." The Association also officially launched a new badge designed based on its emblem.

Attendees at the meeting also heard a special report titled "How AI is Applied in Practice: Supporting Institutions in Formulating AI Development Strategies," delivered by Professor Zhang Qi from the School of Computer Science at Fudan University, who also serves as Deputy Director of the Shanghai Key Laboratory of Intelligent Information Processing.
