Epiworld Reports Lower Carbon Intensity and Strong Governance in 2025 ESG Disclosure

Epiworld International Co., Ltd. released its 2025 Environmental, Social and Governance Report, detailing improvements in emissions, resource efficiency, and stakeholder management across the year ended 31 December 2025.

GHG AND ENERGY PERFORMANCE • Total emissions reached 30,306.80 tCO2e, of which Scope 2 contributed 29,695.41 tCO2e and Scope 1 totalled 377.66 tCO2e. • Scope 2 emissions intensity per wafer fell 19 % against the 2024 baseline, already surpassing the company’s 10 % reduction target set for 2030. • Overall energy use was 55,978.81 MWh, translating into an intensity of 73.14 MWh per million revenue—7 % below the 2024 baseline versus a 5 % reduction goal for 2030. • RMB 0.10 million was invested in energy-efficient equipment; waste-heat recovery and lighting retrofits were identified as key contributors to savings.

WATER AND WASTE • Water consumption dropped 17 % per wafer compared with 2024, markedly ahead of the 5 % cut targeted for 2030. • Non-hazardous waste rose 14 % per million revenue to 88.72 tonnes, moving away from the 10 % reduction objective; hazardous waste remained low at 0.49 tonnes.

SOCIAL INDICATORS • The workforce stood at 529, with a 22 % overall turnover rate and no work-related fatalities. Ten workdays were lost to injury. • Training totalled about 110,000 hours, averaging 140 hours per employee; 93 % of staff received training during the year. • Charitable donations amounted to RMB 0.25 million, mainly supporting education projects.

GOVERNANCE AND COMPLIANCE • A three-tier governance model—Board, ESG Working Group, and functional departments—oversees all ESG matters. • Zero legal cases related to corruption or product recalls were recorded; four customer complaints linked to upstream substrate issues were resolved. • Nine new patents were granted, bringing the cumulative portfolio to 40, while R&D spending exceeded RMB 70 million.

OUTLOOK The Board confirmed that climate-related targets on emissions, energy, and water remain unchanged, while waste-reduction measures will be reviewed after the reported increase in non-hazardous waste intensity. The next progress assessment is scheduled for 2026.
