Aba Prefecture in Sichuan Province, once perceived as remote and inaccessible, recorded the fastest growth in national railway passenger traffic last year, surging by 98%. Following the opening of the Zhenjiang-Huanglong section of the Chuan-Qing Railway, travel time from Chengdu to the Huanglong and Jiuzhaigou scenic areas was reduced to just over an hour.
