Asset management firm Neuburger Berman, a global, private, employee-owned company, has announced the appointment of Bertrand Ng as its Alternative Products Specialist for the Asia-Pacific region.

Based in Singapore, Ng will join the client development team, reporting to Jose Cosio, Head of Distribution for EMEA, Latin America, and Asia Pacific.

Prior to joining Neuburger Berman, Ng served as the Chief Executive Officer of iCapital Singapore, where he was responsible for the firm's operations in Singapore and spearheaded the expansion of its private markets platform across Asia.

Before his tenure at iCapital, he spent over a decade with J.P. Morgan Private Bank in its Singapore and Hong Kong offices, holding several senior positions as an Alternative Investment Specialist.

In that role, he focused on sourcing private equity, venture capital, private credit, and real estate investment opportunities for high-net-worth clients.

Earlier in his career, Ng worked at Merrill Lynch Wealth Management in Singapore.

Jose Cosio commented on the appointment, stating, "We are delighted to welcome Bertrand to the team. He brings deep expertise in private markets along with extensive experience in the Asian wealth management industry and alternative investment platforms."

Cosio added, "As we continue to build our private markets capabilities to meet the growing demand from clients in the region for these investments, his arrival will be a significant asset to our team."

In his new role, Ng will be responsible for engaging with clients and distribution partners across Asia, promoting Neuburger Berman's private markets strengths and investment solutions to support the firm's continued growth in the Asia-Pacific market.
