Stock Track | KB LAMINATES Plummets 5.01% Intraday as Director Selling and PCB Industry Headwinds Weigh

KB LAMINATES (01888) experienced a sharp 5.01% decline intraday on Thursday, as sustained selling by insiders and mounting concerns over the PCB sector's outlook continued to pressure the stock.

The sell-off follows a series of recent disposals by key stakeholders. Executive director Zhang Jiahao sold 1 million shares at an average price of HK$42.10, cashing out approximately HK$42.1 million. Prior to this, major shareholder Hallgain Management Limited and multiple other directors had been actively reducing their holdings, while controlling shareholder Kingboard Group had already executed two large-scale disposals totaling around HK$14.5 billion during the year. The persistent insider selling has significantly undermined investor confidence.

Additionally, broader sector headwinds are compounding the pressure. The market is increasingly concerned about overcapacity in the PCB industry due to concentrated capacity releases, and profit-taking during the interim results window has further weighed on the stock. KB LAMINATES has now fallen over 60% from its peak of HK$107, reflecting the accumulated negative sentiment.
