At the 2026 Shanghai-listed companies collective investor reception and interim results briefing held on September 16, Shanghai Rural Commercial Bank Co.,Ltd. addressed investor concerns regarding its interest margin and capital metrics.

Chairman Xu Li stated that the bank has consistently prioritized shareholder returns, enhancing investor value since its listing. The interim dividend payout ratio for 2026 reached 34.07%, a level determined through careful deliberation of profitability and capital planning to balance shareholder rewards with capital safety.

Xu explained that the slight decline in the core Tier One capital adequacy ratio during the first half was primarily attributed to normal capital consumption driven by credit expansion and asset growth. The current ratio of 13.65% remains within a robust range, with ample capital reserves to fully satisfy regulatory requirements and support business development needs.

Looking ahead, Xu emphasized that the bank will focus on strengthening internal capital generation, optimizing asset composition, and reducing high-risk weighted assets to lower capital usage. Additionally, the institution will dynamically evaluate various capital replenishment tools, considering market conditions and operational performance, to maintain long-term stability in its capital adequacy levels.
