Hong Kong dollar interbank offered rates declined across most tenors on September 22, with the one-month rate—closely tied to mortgage pricing—reversing its earlier uptrend to settle at 2.84339%, down 2.584 basis points.
The three-month rate, which reflects bank funding costs, slipped 1.661 basis points to 3.06018%. Overnight rates dipped 2.583 basis points to 2.12250%, while the one-week rate eased 0.881 basis points to 2.32845% and the two-week rate fell 1.328 basis points to 2.67976%.
The two-month tenor dropped 1.423 basis points to 2.98577%. On the longer end of the curve, the six-month rate climbed 2.756 basis points to 3.45923%, while the one-year rate edged up 1.518 basis points to 3.87845%.
