Eagle Hospitality Trust moves to wind up REIT after ending legal probe

Eagle Hospitality Trust announced on May, 08 2026 that investigations into potential causes of action against its Liquidating Chapter 11 entities have been completed and, following legal advice that any claims would be difficult to prove, no further action will be taken.

The REIT’s trustee, DBS Trustee Limited, executed a deed of termination for Eagle Hospitality Real Estate Investment Trust (EH-REIT) on May, 06 2026 and will proceed with liquidation steps, including seeking tax clearance and applying to delist EH-REIT from the Singapore Exchange.

On May, 07 2026 the trustee filed an application with the Singapore Court to repatriate any remaining funds in Singapore to the Liquidating Trust under the previously recognised Chapter 11 plan. The hearing is scheduled for Jul, 14 2026. All residual assets will be distributed to the Liquidating Trust, and stapled securityholders will not receive any payout from the winding-up.
