XPeng Unveils MONA L03 with In-House Turing AI Chip; Pre-Sales Start from 143,800 Yuan

The XPeng MONA L03 made its Chinese debut at a launch event today, with He Xiaopeng, Chairman and CEO of XPeng Inc. (XPEV), delivering a keynote speech.

XPeng Inc. (XPEV) MONA L03's design was led by former Ferrari designer Juan Ma, collaborating with a global team from 23 countries. It achieves a drag coefficient of Cd 0.228, ranking it among the top five global mass-produced new energy SUVs. Exterior color options include Aurora Purple, New Moon Silver, Midnight Black, Twilight Purple, Plum Sauce, and Eucalyptus Gray. The interior is available in two color schemes: Deep Space Gray and Atmosphere Gray.

The vehicle features a 256-color ambient light system, a massive 26.8-inch W-HUD, and a sport steering wheel with dual satellite buttons. It is equipped with a 20-speaker AI sound system boasting an amplifier power exceeding 1000W. All variants come standard with Cloud Comfort seats; the driver's seat includes ventilation, heating, electric lumbar support, and memory/welcome functions, supporting 14-point cloud massage. The front passenger seat is a 14-point massage zero-gravity seat, also with ventilation, heating, and lumbar relief functions. The rear includes a 10L storage drawer and offers 985mm of effective headroom. The car features 40 storage spaces in total, including a 102L front trunk with a drain and a 539L trunk, expandable to a maximum of 1640L with the rear seats folded down.

XPeng Inc. (XPEV) MONA L03 is equipped across the range with the company's self-developed Turing AI chip, offered in Max and Ultra SE versions. The Max version features a single Turing AI chip with 750 TOPS of effective computing power and is configured with the second-generation VLA Distilled Edition (scheduled for OTA update starting Q3 this year). The Ultra SE version features dual Turing AI chips with 1500 TOPS of effective computing power and supports the full-spec second-generation VLA.

The MONA L03 is the first model in the MONA series to offer dual powertrain options. The pure electric version provides two range options: 525km and 625km (CLTC), with a low CLTC energy consumption of 11.9kWh/100km and a 0-100km/h acceleration time of 6.6 seconds. It supports 3C charging, allowing a charge from 10% to 80% in just 19.1 minutes. The super range-extender version offers a maximum CLTC combined range of 1330km, with a pure electric range of 315km, a WLTC combined fuel consumption of 5.16L/100km, and a 0-100km/h acceleration time of 6.8 seconds.

All MONA L03 models come standard with a front MacPherson strut and rear five-link suspension, paired with DCC intelligent adaptive damping and the latest generation Bosch IPB braking system. It has a tight turning radius of 5.25 meters and features an Intelligent Anti-Motion Sickness Mode 2.0.

The vehicle comes standard with 17 active safety features and 7 airbags across all variants. Available in Max and Ultra SE versions, pre-sales pricing starts from 143,800 yuan. Additionally, the XPeng MONA L03 will hold its global launch event in Munich, Germany on July 16 and is scheduled to go on sale in 64 countries worldwide by 2026.
