The Caofeidian Crude Oil Storage and Transportation Project, led by China Petroleum Engineering Construction Corporation (CPECC) North China Branch as the EPC contractor, has completed the foundation construction for its first 150,000-cubic-meter storage tank.
This tank, with a single-unit capacity of 150,000 cubic meters, is the largest crude oil storage tank in China. The tank foundation, designed with a diameter of 94 meters, required 5,004 cubic meters of concrete.
The concrete construction followed mass concrete standards, utilizing intermittent expansion joint technology. The pouring was completed in two stages with a seven-day interval, effectively controlling thermal and drying shrinkage cracks while significantly improving the foundation's compactness and continuity. This ensures high-quality concrete formation.
The Caofeidian Crude Oil Storage and Transportation Project is a key component of the Caofeidian Crude Oil Storage and Transportation Base. Upon completion, it will leverage its strategic location to enhance functions such as crude oil "storage, transfer, bonded trade, and transactions," further integrating into the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei coordinated development strategy and strengthening China's energy supply security.
