Samsonite Repurchases 1.29 Million Shares for HK$18.16 Million, Lifting Treasury Stock to 80.59 Million

Samsonite Group S.A. announced a share buy-back on 14 May 2026, purchasing 1.29 million ordinary shares on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange at prices ranging between HK$13.77 and HK$14.23. The volume-weighted average repurchase price was HK$14.04, resulting in a total cash outlay of HK$18.16 million.

Following the transaction, Samsonite’s issued share capital (excluding treasury shares) fell to 1.39 billion shares from 1.39 billion, representing a 0.09% reduction. Concurrently, the company’s treasury stock balance increased to 80.59 million shares, while total issued shares remained unchanged at 1.47 billion.

The repurchase was executed under the general mandate granted on 3 June 2025, which authorises the company to buy back up to 138.31 million shares. Cumulative repurchases under this mandate now stand at 1.29 million shares, accounting for 0.09% of the shares outstanding when the mandate was approved, leaving substantial capacity for further buy-backs.

In accordance with Hong Kong listing rules, Samsonite is subject to a 30-day moratorium on issuing new shares or disposing of treasury shares until 13 June 2026.
