Metallurgical Corporation of China Ltd. (MCC) reported continued progress under its 2026 share-repurchase programme, disclosing sizeable transactions in both its Hong Kong-listed H-shares and Shanghai-listed A-shares on 8 September 2026.

H-share buyback • Volume: 3.62 million shares, equal to 0.13 % of the 2.84 billion H-shares in issue. • Price range: HKD 1.35–1.39, implying an average outlay of HKD 4.999 million. • Cumulative H-share repurchases since the 29 June mandate: 40.18 million shares (1.42 % of issued H-shares), well within the 283.90 million-share authorisation. • All repurchased H-shares are designated for cancellation; none will be held as treasury stock. • A 30-day moratorium on new share issuance or treasury-share sales runs until 8 October 2026.

A-share buyback • Volume: 9.57 million shares on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, representing 0.05 % of the 17.85 billion A-shares outstanding. • Price range: RMB 2.55–2.64, for a total consideration of RMB 24.999 million. • Year-to-date A-share repurchases (January–8 September 2026): 201.06 million shares, or roughly 1.13 % of total A-shares. • All A-shares acquired are slated for cancellation.

Capital structure unchanged—for now Despite the active repurchase schedule, MCC’s issued share capital remains at 2.84 billion H-shares and 17.85 billion A-shares as of 8 September 2026. Cancellation of the repurchased shares, once completed, will reduce the company’s share count accordingly.

Regulatory compliance MCC confirmed that all buybacks were executed in line with listing rules and that requisite funds have been fully settled. The company also affirmed there have been no material changes to the explanatory statement filed with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on 5 June 2026.
