East Buy has released its financial results for fiscal year 2026, covering the period from June 1, 2025, to May 31, 2026. Total revenue reached RMB 5.7 billion, and after excluding the impact of its business separation, revenue grew 36.3% year-over-year. Operating profit stood at RMB 660 million, marking a return to profitability compared to the same period last year.
As of May 31, 2026, East Buy's team for self-branded products and livestream e-commerce totaled 1,812 employees. The company has already established a specialized talent pool, with a strong focus on recruiting core personnel in livestream hosting, product development, and quality control and inspection.
During the earnings conference, East Buy emphasized its commitment to attracting top-tier livestream hosts to deliver a greater variety of high-quality streaming events and content. According to Executive President Sun Jin, East Buy's on-air hosting team has grown from just over 20 hosts in December of last year to more than 80 members currently, and the company plans to further expand this team to over 100 people in fiscal year 2027.
At the same time, to develop more self-branded products and strengthen quality assurance, East Buy intends to double the size of both its product manager and quality control teams. The company has also built a comprehensive and competitive compensation and performance review system, ensuring that employees who contribute more are duly rewarded.
Looking ahead, Sun Jin stated: "As we enter fiscal 2027, we continue to maintain strong growth momentum, with all key indicators remaining healthy. We adhere to a long-term approach, always tackling the difficult tasks and building lasting competitive advantages. We don't just look at a few months or a year or two; we assess whether the company can continue to earn user trust three years down the road."
