The joint venture OneSubsea, supported by SLB Ltd, Aker Solutions, and Subsea7, has been awarded two contracts by Vår Energi related to subsea production infrastructure for the Balder and Goliat fields in Norwegian waters.

The first contract encompasses the design and delivery of gas export infrastructure for the Goliat Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel. This work supports the Goliat Gas Export Project by establishing a connection to the Snøhvit system and the Melkøya LNG plant.

The second contract forms part of the Balder Next new wells project. It includes four wellhead systems configured with single-line manifold satellites, along with the associated umbilical systems.

These contracts engage multiple of OneSubsea's business lines, covering subsea production systems, umbilicals, risers, and flowlines, as well as processing systems. The scope also includes the supply of multiphase flow meters.

OneSubsea stated that the Goliat Gas Export Project will provide an alternative to gas reinjection, which is expected to extend the production life of the field.

Mads Hjelmeland, CEO of SLB OneSubsea, commented, "The journey from feasibility study to contract award took only a few months, a testament to the close collaboration and mutual trust established between the partners. We are proud to continue our collaboration with Vår Energi on these two major projects to unlock greater value, accelerate development, and deploy innovative solutions aimed at maximizing recovery."
