Australian Pension Fund Mulls Offering Crypto in Rare Move
One of Australia’s largest pension funds, Hostplus, is considering offering cryptocurrencies as an investment option to its members, an asset class that’s so far been largely shunned by its industry rivals.
Hostplus, which manages more than A$150 billion ($105 billion), is looking at offering Bitcoin and other digital assets through its Choiceplus investment option, which allows people to self-manage their retirement savings portfolio, Chief Investment Officer Sam Sicilia said in an interview. Currently about 1% of the fund’s total assets are invested in Choiceplus.

Bitmine Immersion Technologies announced total crypto, cash, and “moonshot” holdings of $11.0 billion as of March 22, 2026. The company confirmed continued Ethereum accumulation and treasury expansion under Chairman Tom Lee. This update comes as Ethereum price gains momentum.
As per today’s release, Bitmine acquired 65,341 Ethereum in the past week. This pace exceeded its previous weekly average of 45,000 to 50,000 ETH purchases. According to Tom Lee, the company maintained this increased pace over the last three weeks.
Strategy returns to 'small' bitcoin purchases, adding $76.6 million in BTC last week
Michael Saylor's Strategy (MSTR) continued to add to bitcoin holdings last week, but at a vastly reduced pace from recent previous acquisitions.
The leading bitcoin treasury company last week added 1,031 bitcoin for a total cost of $76.6 million, or $74,326 per coin.
Bitcoin Spot ETF Flow
The overall net inflow of the US Bitcoin spot ETF on Monday was $6.42 million. The total net asset value of Bitcoin spot ETFs is $90.72 billion, and the ETF net asset ratio (market value compared to total Bitcoin market value) is 6.44%.
The Bitcoin spot ETF with the highest net inflow on March 23 was Fidelity Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund, with a net inflow of $41.7 million, according to SoSoValue.
