Prudential plc said it cancelled 329,328 ordinary shares on Mar, 19 2026 that had been repurchased at a volume-weighted average price of GBP 10.9338 per share. The move reduced its outstanding share capital to 2,530,729,808 shares from 2,531,059,136.
The insurer added that a further 776,877 shares bought back on Mar, 18 and Mar, 19 2026—at average prices of GBP 10.6781 and GBP 10.6343, respectively—remain to be cancelled.
These purchases were executed on the London Stock Exchange under the company’s share repurchase mandate granted on May, 14 2025, which authorises the buy-back of up to 262.67 million shares. So far, Prudential has repurchased about 76.49 million shares under the mandate, equivalent to 2.94% of its share base at the time of approval.
A 30-day moratorium on issuing new shares or selling treasury shares is in effect until Apr, 18 2026.
