At the 18th China Industrial Forum held in Beijing on December 16 under the theme "Integration and Innovation for Industrial Strength," Academician Chen Runsheng of the Chinese Academy of Sciences delivered a keynote speech.
Chen emphasized that artificial intelligence (AI) fundamentally represents a "digital twin of the brain." With large-scale models as its core application vehicle, AI has demonstrated extraordinary practical value in fields such as biomedicine and medical imaging, driven by breakthroughs in natural language processing and multimodal integration innovations.
He noted that AI is currently triggering profound transformations across scientific and technological domains. Continued focus on and application of AI will bring significant benefits to both production and daily life.
The forum highlighted AI's growing role in advancing industrial innovation, particularly through its cross-disciplinary applications in healthcare and technology sectors.
