China Starch Announces HK$1.24 Million Share Buyback; 109.68 Million Shares Repurchased Under Current Mandate

China Starch Holdings Limited disclosed a substantial on-market repurchase of 73.55 million ordinary shares on 13 July 2026, paying between HK$0.166 and HK$0.170 per share for total consideration of HK$1.24 million.

Since the 12 May 2026 approval of its current 10% buyback mandate (authorising up to 596.45 million shares), the company has repurchased 109.68 million shares, equivalent to 1.84% of the share base as at the mandate date. Following these transactions, China Starch retains authority to repurchase a further 486.77 million shares before the mandate’s expiry.

Cumulatively, 133.58 million shares bought between 24 March and 13 July 2026 remain awaiting formal cancellation. Pending this process, the company’s issued share capital stands unchanged at 5.96 billion shares.

Prices paid across all outstanding buybacks ranged from HK$0.151 to HK$0.1893 per share, with the latest day’s purchases executed near the upper end of that band. Under Hong Kong Stock Exchange rules, China Starch is subject to a moratorium on issuing new shares or disposing of treasury shares until 12 August 2026.
