On October 1st, police officers from the Qixing Police Station of Xinchang County Public Security Bureau patrol the commercial district under their jurisdiction.

On October 1st, red flags flutter in the wind along the streets of Xinchang County, Zhejiang Province. In the bustling commercial districts, Xinchang police maintain the festive atmosphere through three-dimensional air-ground coordinated patrols.

At 10 AM, a police drone takes off into the sky. Beside the controller, Officer Jiang Hao from the Qixing Police Station keeps his eyes fixed on the screen as the drone follows its preset route, transmitting real-time data about crowd density and entrance congestion back to the station's comprehensive command center.

"Yesterday we detected some vendors illegally occupying the road at night on the food street, affecting nearby residents. Today we need to focus on monitoring this area," Jiang Hao says. With a gentle tap on the screen, the drone immediately hovers precisely above a vendor on the food street. The aircraft's loudspeaker then broadcasts: "Hello vendor, please do not occupy the road for business operations. Thank you for your cooperation." On the screen, tables and chairs that were originally placed on the roadside are quickly and orderly removed by the vendor.

Xinchang police have created a customized three-dimensional air-ground patrol network for the commercial district: At high altitude, police drones handle monitoring crowd flow, identifying noise sources, investigating safety hazards, and monitoring traffic volume, providing real-time updates on commercial district dynamics. On the ground, they employ a three-pronged approach of "vehicle patrol + foot patrol + video patrol" to create a comprehensive security network.

"During holidays, the commercial district sees nearly three times the usual foot traffic. Police patrols alone aren't sufficient. With drone assistance, our security efficiency has significantly improved," Jiang Hao explains.

At noon, Wanda Plaza welcomes a peak in customer flow. Jiang Hao leads five volunteer police officers along the food street to guide crowds and provide directions. This volunteer police team consists of street office staff, property security personnel, and community safety volunteers who patrol alongside officers during morning and evening peak hours. Whether helping tourists with directions or resolving minor disputes between vendors, they promptly step in to help, contributing to the district's safety.

At 3 PM, the commercial district experiences its peak crowd flow. However, Ms. Wang, who owns a women's clothing store on the second floor, faces a problem - two customers are arguing over trying on clothes, bringing business to a near standstill. Ms. Wang quickly takes out her phone and sends a message in the "Police-Business Watch" group chat: "Second floor women's clothing area, two customers in dispute, please help!"

As soon as the message is sent, Ms. Zhang from the neighboring knitwear store immediately comes over, and volunteer police officer Old Li, who had just finished patrolling the adjacent floor, rushes to the store. The two patiently mediate with gentle words, gradually calming the previously tense customers. When police officers arrive, everything has returned to normal.

In the phones of Qixing Police Station officers, the "Police-Business Watch" WeChat group remains active - over 100 merchants in the group can not only report situations and seek help in real-time but also assist in resolving disputes. Officers regularly share security tips about theft and fraud prevention in the group.

At 7 PM, as lights begin to illuminate the commercial district, Officer Jiang Hao and his colleagues continue their street patrols. Suddenly, a voice from the command center comes through the radio: "Jiang Hao, the night patrol 'little guy' has arrived at the plaza, please coordinate."

Jiang Hao looks up to see a robot dog walking steadily toward them. "This is our patrol 'teammate,' specifically responsible for patrolling blind spots in the commercial district at night," Jiang Hao says, crouching down to gently pat the robot dog's exterior. He then stands up and walks back into the crowd to continue patrolling, carefully protecting the safety of every visitor.
