A sudden debris flow struck near the Shijiagou Tunnel in Zhiliuhe Village, Gesala Township, Yanbian County, Panzhihua City, Sichuan Province, in the early hours of the 19th. According to preliminary statistics from relevant authorities, five people are currently missing as a result of the disaster.

Following the incident, the Sichuan Provincial Department of Emergency Management immediately coordinated with the Panzhihua City and Yanbian County emergency management bureaus to conduct joint consultations on rescue operations. A working group has been dispatched to the site to guide the response, while a Wing Loong drone has been mobilized to assist with communication restoration and aerial reconnaissance in the affected area.

Local authorities are currently organizing rescue forces, including emergency response teams and fire services, to carry out disaster relief and search efforts.
