At the 2026 interim results conference held on August 31, China Zheshang Bank Co.,Ltd. (601916) Deputy Party Secretary, Vice President, and Board Secretary Luo Feng stated that as Chinese enterprises accelerate their global expansion, the importance of cross-border finance and banking services within the corporate banking sector continues to rise. He noted that the bank recognised this trend early on and has made cross-border finance its signature business segment, developing a comprehensive five-service framework covering cross-border settlement, exchange rate risk hedging, liquidity management, cross-border investment and financing, and new models for foreign trade.
Mr. Luo highlighted that in the first half of the year, the bank served over 22,000 export-oriented enterprises, with nearly 14,000 corporate clients utilising its cross-border payment and settlement services. He pointed out that while cross-border fund collection and payment represent the most fundamental and frequent needs for companies going global, clients demand exceptionally high levels of both security and efficiency in these transactions.
To meet these requirements, the bank has established a multi-channel clearing network and maintains correspondent banking relationships with nearly 1,000 overseas financial institutions, including 274 partner banks along the Belt and Road Initiative routes.
