Li Auto Inc. (LI AUTO-W, 02015) has released its 2025 Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Report, detailing record investment in innovation, sharp carbon-emission cuts and strengthened governance practices.
Innovation & Product Milestones • R&D expenditure reached RMB11.30 billion, a 2.7% year-on-year increase, supporting four global R&D centres and more than 80 labs. • R&D headcount grew to 6,041. • Cumulative vehicle deliveries surpassed 1.54 million; key 2025 launches included the Li MEGA Home/Ultra, Li L series upgrades and first pure-electric SUVs Li i8 and Li i6. • The firm participated in drafting 25 national and industry standards and achieved full IATF 16949 coverage across operations.
Green Transition Targets • Net-zero commitment set for 2050; “net-zero-ready” status targeted by 2040 for production sites, offices and charging infrastructure. • Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse-gas emissions fell 4.2% to 202,969 tCO₂e; Scope 3 emissions declined 24.1% to 9,477,859 tCO₂e. • Energy use per vehicle dropped to 0.122 tce, while water consumption per vehicle improved to 3.6 tonnes—both meeting internal targets. • The Changzhou plant generated 84,621 MWh of solar power, and all manufacturing bases hold ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 certifications.
Supply Chain & Product Responsibility • 96.8% of direct suppliers are certified to ISO 14001 and 98.9% to IATF 16949; all 529 direct suppliers underwent ESG assessments. • User satisfaction remained above 99.6% across test drives, sales, delivery and after-sales; 100% of complaints were resolved. • Health and safety recognitions include Five-Star Healthy Car Awards for Li i8 and Li i6 and top ratings in privacy and cybersecurity tests.
Human Capital & Community Engagement • Workforce totaled 30,728 employees from 22 countries; female representation on the eight-member board is 12.5%. • Average training hours per employee reached 23; company-wide integrity and cybersecurity training achieved 100% coverage. • Charitable donations amounted to RMB18.38 million, with 1,075 volunteer enrollments contributing 2,559 service hours.
Governance & Compliance • Li Auto’s board met five times with full attendance; all directors completed ESG training. • Annual internal and external anti-bribery audits covered all business areas, and the company retained ISO 37001 certification. • ISO 27001 and ISO 27701 certifications were renewed, and critical systems passed national cybersecurity and privacy compliance tests.
