They visited biomedical companies within the zone to conduct a targeted assistance campaign for IP development.

Leveraging its market regulatory functions, the branch is balancing supervision with proactive service. By focusing on the cultivation of high-value patents, it is actively reaching out to enterprises to provide precise solutions to their difficulties. At the technology center of Shanxi Shuangyan Pharmaceutical, staff held discussions with the company's R&D management team. They explained the application conditions, the "dual-station chief" operation mechanism, and the full-chain service functions related to the provincial IP service station policy, encouraging the company to leverage its R&D platform advantages and build a long-term patent cultivation mechanism through the service station.
The discussions centered on guiding high-value patent cultivation. In areas such as deep processing of traditional Chinese medicine, formulation process improvement, drug testing, and intelligent pharmaceutical manufacturing, the team advised the company to shift away from a mindset focused solely on the quantity of patents. Instead, they encouraged a focus on core technologies with market prospects and the potential to build competitive barriers. The guidance included systematic patent mining, forward-looking patent layout, and the construction of high-quality patent portfolios, aiming to cultivate a batch of high-value invention patents that support the company's long-term growth.
Additionally, the team introduced supporting services like patent navigation, priority examination, and fee reduction to lower the cost of IP protection for the enterprise.
