The Miyun District Cultural Center has launched a "Lunchtime Art Empowerment Plan" specifically designed for working professionals, allowing students to master new skills from scratch during their lunch breaks.

"The purpose of organizing these lunchtime art classes is to utilize the fragmented lunch break period to provide convenient art education services for office workers, enabling everyone to experience the charm of culture up close during work breaks, relax their minds while improving their artistic literacy," explained Wang Xinmin, director of the Miyun District Cultural Center.

The lunchtime art classes feature three carefully selected courses: body dance, Beijing rhythm drums, and marker painting. Each session lasts one and a half hours, with the current program expected to continue until the end of the year.

The enrollment information for the lunchtime art classes received widespread attention and enthusiastic registration from Miyun District employees upon its release. In the marker painting lunchtime art class, employee Zhang Hui was attentively following the professional instructor to learn painting from scratch. "Although I love drawing, I never learned it as a child. I never expected to have the opportunity to learn this new skill for free after starting work," Zhang Hui told reporters. Utilizing lunch break time to study painting not only helps her relax but also allows her to acquire new skills, adding more cultural and artistic color to her life. She hopes to have more opportunities to participate in such activities in the future.

Wang Xinmin stated that moving forward, the Miyun District Cultural Center will continuously optimize content based on student feedback and plans to introduce more intangible cultural heritage projects and modern art forms. At the same time, they will further expand their teaching staff to create a more accessible and diverse public arts experience platform.
