Recently, numerous users reported on social media platforms that while watching series on the iQiyi platform, pause screens displayed promotional ads for anti-drug themed dramas such as "绝境通缉令," "突袭," and "猎毒风暴." These advertisements prominently featured plot elements and imagery including "a drug lord imprisoning an undercover female police officer," "binding and forced drugging," "glamorous drug lord," and "torture and abuse." Some users expressed that the nature of these ads made them feel similar to "illegal pop-up advertisements."
